Patrick joined Atkins & Company as an associate in 2003. Patrick’s primary focus is on the music industry, although he is also active in the fields of film and television. His clients include recording artists, record labels, record producers, management companies and promoters. He assists clients with agreements relating to all aspects of the music industry including recording, management, licensing, distribution, publishing, live performance and merchandising.

Prior to entering law school, Patrick earned a Music Degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He then earned a degree in International Relations and Comparative Politics at McGill University in Montreal. After studying at McGill and working in radio in Montreal, he returned to his native British Columbia to pursue his legal studies at the University of British Columbia, where he received his law degree in 1999.

Patrick is a frequent panelist at music industry seminars. While pursuing his career in law, Patrick has continued to be active as a performing and recording session musician.   He spends his spare time skiing, hiking and mountain climbing.   Patrick lives each day with the certainty that the Vancouver Canucks will win the Stanley Cup.
